Allan Trautman is a puppeteer and director who has worked on several HDPS projects. Trautman began his performing career as an actor, noted for his portrayal of "Tarman" in Return of the Living Dead parts I and II. He has gone on to puppeteer in such films as Muppets from Space, Cats & Dogs, Babe and Dr. Dolittle (for which he was also performance coordinator). His television puppeteering credits include Greg the Bunny, Unhappily Ever After, Muppets Tonight and Jim Henson's Dinosaurs.
Trautman has worked in the Henson Digitial Performance Studio performing Skrumpy, the small and mighty drummer of Grumblebelly, on The Skrumps. He also has served as director for episodes of the HDPS series Sid the Science Kid.
