The Gotta Know Microphone is an electronic toy modeled after Sid's toy microphone as seen in the Henson Company television series Sid the Science Kid.
The four push-buttons trigger different sounds and effect - including applauses, laughter, the Sid the Science Kid theme song and echo effect.
The microphone includes 3 “AAA” batteries.

- In "Where Does the Water Go?", Sid uses this toy in the bathroom instead of his bedroom as a special treat.
- The purple button makes people laugh, the yellow button makes the crowd clap, the red button makes a cow noise, a chicken noise, or the theme song play, and the white button makes your voice echoey.
- The applause sound only happens when Sid says, "Scientist in the house!" and when one of his Super Duper Ooper Schmooper Big Ideas ends.
