Grandma Rose is Mort's mother and the paternal grandmother of Sid and Zeke on the PBS Kids computer-animated television series Sid the Science Kid. Like many grandparents of today, she is very involved in her grandsons' lives, she picks Sid up from school each day and has an endearing relationship with him as well. She is the eldest of three sisters; growing up, her clothing was always handed-down to her two younger siblings. One of her favorite hobbies is making clay pots with a pottery wheel.
She is also a nurse and helps give vaccinations to Sid and his classmates in the Sid the Science Kid special "Getting A Shot: You Can Do It!."
It is revealed that she is Jewish.
